TREATS & CHEWS
WHAT OUR DOGS LIKE!
Bully sticks - bully sticks are a tried-and-true favourite with all of our dogs---young and old, big and small, chewer and non-chewer. While they are a more expensive treat, they last a long time, are well enjoyed, and worth the money. Most bully sticks have odour and are best served on a hard flooring, or on a towel that can be thrown in the wash. There are odour-free options available, but they are usually more expensive.

Collagen chews - in my dogs' opinion, these are comparable to (and maybe even better than) bully sticks. Trudy in particular LOVES her collagen chews and gets very excited when I pull one out for the evening. They are usually thicker than bully sticks, don't smell much, and last a very long time.

Bladder sticks - my dogs love these chews, and as a plus, they are less expensive than bully sticks. The catch is - they do not last very long, and are crunchy/ingested rather than slowly worked away by chewing. Still highly enjoyed by my dogs, but don't expect a long-lasting chew out of them!

Unbelievabulls - these chews are made out of air-dried beef cheek. While my dogs will chew on them on occasion, they aren't the first choice. They don't seem to have much of an odour (which is a plus for me, but on the same note, that means it may not be as appealing to the dogs). The Unbelievabull chew we currently have is still going strong and seems to be lasting a long time. Nice as a casual, lower-value chew.

Salmon skin - in addition to being full of healthy fats and omegas, our dogs LOVE the taste of salmon skin rolls. They don't last a very long time, but are a favourite occasional treat.
|
Yak cheese chews - these are very hard, long lasting chews. Some of my Poodles love them while others are a bit confused as to what they are! Since these are very hard chews, I don't recommend them for powerful chewers as that can risk damage to teeth, but with soft/moderate chewers they should be fine. Yak cheese is also often sold in small pieces that can be put in the microwave, where they turn into crunchy little "puffs" like popcorn.
