Recommended Facebook Groups and Pages:
Whether you are a first-time dog owner or someone who has had dogs their entire life, I highly recommend joining some of these groups. There is always more to learn!
- Canine Enrichment - Hundreds of ideas for boredom busting, trick training, and more. Dogs need to be given a 'job' to do, or they will find one themselves! One way to put your dog to 'work' is to give him/her problem solving games and enriching activities, such as snuffle matts and such. "This is the group your dog wants you to join!"
- Puppy Culture Discussion Group - We use Puppy Culture and swear by it.
- Tricks and Training - As with Canine Enrichment, this group is meant for keeping dogs busy, happy, and bonding with your dog through training. There is typically a Trick of the Week.
- The Raw Feeding Community - A great place for beginners to learn more about raw feeding, correct food ratios, safe handling, and debunk some common raw-feeding myths.
- Nail Maintenance for Dogs - You'd be amazed at the importance of keeping a dog's nails trimmed. Whether your dog is an 8 week old puppy or a 10 year old rescue, this group will walk you through teaching your dog to enjoy 'paw spa' days.

Companies & Brands We Recommend:

Our dogs are fed Petcurean's Now Fresh dog food, a high quality, premium brand. There are many different brands to choose from if your dog has allergies, such as a red meat or fish recipe, grain-free, and more. Petcurean also carries a line for cats!
Zak George's Dog Training: www.dogtrainingrevolution.com
We have used many of Zak's recommended training techniques. He strongly believes in positive reinforcement and shaping behaviours. Zak has many YouTube videos with numerous topics such as the best dog food, how to teach your dog to play fetch, walk on a leash, and more. He has also written a book, of which we highly recommend: The Dog Training Revolution (can be purchased on Amazon).
Victoria Stilwell's Dog Training: positively.com
Victoria is also a positive reinforcement based trainer. She has written many books and has instructional videos on YouTube and on her website.
Canadian Kennel Club: www.ckc.ca
The Canadian Kennel Club is Canada's purebred dog registry. In order to be advertised as purebred, a dog must be CKC registered. We are CKC members in good standing and have all of our dogs and puppies registered. If you are looking for a registered breeder, check out their PuppyList.
Paw Print Genetics Health Testing: www.pawprintgenetics.com/
We currently use PawPrint for our dogs' genetic testing. They have always been reliable, efficient, and have affordable prices. While the average pet owner does not need to perform genetic testing, Paw Print Genetics also has a breeder profile where you can see the health test results of a breeder's dogs.
Puppy Culture: www.puppyculture.com
Puppy Culture was designed for breeders and owners alike. Using PC to raise our puppies has been a huge game-changer and we highly recommend our puppies' families to continue these protocols. It is well worth the money.
