Due to minor changes that are made to my contract & health guarantee on a regular basis (such as clarifying phrases, or adjusting things to suite an individual circumstance), I ask that prospective buyers contact me if they would like to see the current version of the contract.

A current copy of the contract is always sent out to each buyer before any money exchanges hands. I will not accept a deposit until it has been read---I want my buyers to know upfront what they are agreeing to before there is any commitment involved.

Below you will find the "skeleton" of the agreement -- or in other words, main aspects that will always remain unchanged. If you have any questions, please feel free to send me an email.

Our Contract:

 - Spay/Neuter Clause: Our Toy Poodle puppies must be spayed/neutered by 14 months of age (waiting until at least 8 months is recommended for proper development). Vasectomies and ovary-sparing-spays are accepted forms of sterilization.
 - General Care: The Buyer commits to providing the puppy with good nutrition, proper shelter, vet care, exercise, and grooming for the dog's entire life.
 - Return Clause: If for any reason the Buyer cannot keep the puppy, the puppy must be returned to Temple City Poodles. Selling, discarding, or surrendering the puppy to a shelter or other third party is strictly prohibited. The return clause serves as a safety net for the duration of the dog's entire life, and is to prevent the dog from ending up in a shelter, in an unsuitable home, in a research facility or puppy mill, etc.

Other Things to Note:

I will never require you to feed a certain brand or supplement, or anything similar to that nature. I feel it is an unnecessary requirement and goes against what I strongly believe--that dogs are individuals, have different dietary needs, and benefit from variety--which is why requiring a solitary brand/product will never be a condition in my health guarantee nor contract. While I have a number of dog food brands and other products my dogs have used with great success, I will never require or swear by a single manufacturer or way of feeding.

I am always happy to share my knowledge, recommendations, and experience. But coercion or contractual requirements will never be a part of it! :)
